PittMFUG Preso: SWFAddress for AS3 in five steps
May 27th, 2009
I did a quick presentation at the May PittMFUG meeting last week. If you want to use SWFaddress but don’t want to use frame labels for your site “states”, you might want to check out the example files.
I walked through the five steps needed to set up SWFAddress for your full-Flash site. From the import statements, to linking up the javascript files to your HTML page. Check out the preso and samples files for all the details.
ETA: The example files won’t run locally without a bunch of security warning pop-ups. I’ve put a copy of them here to make it easier to see it in action.
In related news, I’m now officially a manager of the PittMFUG! I’m super excited.

Double-check that you’re trying to open the index.html page in the site folder. That’s the only one that should display anything. Also, the files won’t work correctly when run locally.
See the note I added above for a link to a running copy of the example.
