mac svn and getting to the papervision 2.0 source
March 28th, 2008
This seems like it should be easy, but I had a harder time finding this than I expected, so here’s where to find a free mac svn to download the papervision greatwhite classes.
The free mac svn software is svnX. Supposedly it is installed with Leopard, but if you just want to download it anyways you can get it here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/development_tools/svnx.html
The directions below are quoted from one of the comments on this page. I’m quoting part of it below to save you some scrolling, but refer to the original comments for additional info.
“Leopard users beware – when you start svnX for the first time you will be warned the path to the svn binary is wrong but dont panic.
Choose the open preferences button and change the path to/usr/bin
this is the path OS X 10.5 uses. Now you should be able to log on to the papervision svn by adding http://papervision3d.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ as a path in the ˜Repositories window.”
Then, all you have to do is double-click the respository you added to open it. Once it connects you can drag the files to a folder locally. And away you go…
